The way we practice

Because each person brings something unique to the mat, every practice is just a little bit different. It’s vital that your yoga teacher understand exactly what it is you bring with you to your practice - whether it be an injury, trauma or stress. Aya’s own understanding of pain, and her training as an Occupational Therapist give her the unique ability to work with students of all ages at all levels. Aya carefully sequences asanas (poses) to meet you where you at, and help you get where you want to be.

At Koi Wellness, we practice two types of yoga: Yin and Forrest. Yin yoga is a complementary practice, meant to be practiced along with other types of yoga and exercise. Forrest yoga was developed by American yogi, Ana Forrest, as a physical and emotional practice, meant to transform your your practice and your life.
